Are you fully insured?

Absolutely. We carry comprehensive public liability insurance and full worker's compensation coverage on every job site. Proof of insurance is available on request before any work commences.

Do I need a council permit to remove a tree?

Tree removal is based on the tree's size, species, and location. All tree works must be completed to Australian Standards (AS 4373) and abide by council regulations. If you are based in the North Shore of Sydney, they abide by the State Environmental Planning Policy (Biodiversity and Conservation) 2021 and Hornsby Council Development Control Plan 1.2.6 Tree and Vegetation Preservation. If you are based on the Central Coast, council regulations are followed by Central Coast Council's DCP Chapter (2022) 3.5 Tree and Vegetation Management. If you are based in Newcastle, regulations follow the Private Trees — Newcastle Urban Forest Technical Manual. To get a better, more rounded answer, we will be more than happy to assist.

How do I get a quote?

Can I cut my neighbour's tree?

Generally, you can only prune branches that overhang your property up to the boundary line, and only if the work is lawful under council regulations and any relevant orders. You cannot enter your neighbour's property or remove the tree without their permission. We recommend discussing the work with your neighbour first and speaking with your local council, as many trees are protected. We're happy to advise on the correct, legal approach for your situation.

How much does tree removal cost on the Central Coast?

Tree removal pricing on the Central Coast depends on the tree's size, species, location, and access, as well as whether a permit or arborist report is required. As a guide, smaller trees start from a few hundred dollars, while large or restricted-access trees cost more. We provide free, no-obligation quotes so you know the exact price before any work begins.

Do you charge for quotes or arborist assessments?

No. Standard quotes are completely free and carry no obligation. If you require a formal arborist report for council or development purposes, a fee applies, which we'll explain upfront before proceeding.

What is the difference between pruning and lopping?

Pruning is the selective removal of specific branches to improve a tree's health, structure, and appearance — it follows best-practice arboricultural standards (AS 4373). Lopping is the broader removal of larger branches or sections of the canopy, typically for clearance or height reduction. We always recommend proper pruning techniques over indiscriminate lopping to maintain long-term tree health.

Can you remove trees in tight access areas?

Yes — this is exactly where a climbing arborist excels. Unlike companies that rely on elevated work platforms or cranes, we rope-climb into position and dismantle trees piece by piece using precision rigging. This means we can safely access backyards, sloped blocks, and properties where machinery can't reach.

What happens to the green waste after the job?

All branches and timber are chipped on-site into high-quality mulch using our industrial wood chipper. You can choose to keep the mulch for your garden beds (it's excellent for weed suppression and soil health) or we'll remove it entirely. We operate a zero-waste-to-landfill policy on every job.

Do you offer stump grinding?

Yes. After tree removal, we can grind the stump to well below ground level, allowing you to turf, pave, or replant the area. The stump grindings themselves can be used as mulch or removed from site.

How often should I have my trees pruned?

For most established trees, a pruning cycle of every 3-5 years is ideal to maintain health and structural integrity. Fast-growing species or trees near structures may benefit from more frequent attention. We're happy to assess your trees and recommend a maintenance schedule.

Do you follow Australian Standards for tree pruning?

Yes. All pruning is carried out to Australian Standard AS 4373 (Pruning of Amenity Trees). This ensures cuts are made correctly, the tree's structure and health are preserved, and the work meets the standard recognised by councils and insurers.

Do you clean up and take away the green waste after the job?

Absolutely. Every job includes full site clean-up. Branches and timber are chipped on-site, and all green waste is removed unless you'd prefer to keep the mulch for your garden. We leave your property tidy, with drop zones swept and no debris left behind.

Do you provide emergency storm damage tree removal?

Yes. We offer emergency storm and hazardous-tree response across the Central Coast, Sydney, and Newcastle. If a tree has fallen, split, or is threatening your home or property, call us and we'll prioritise making the site safe, then carry out the full removal and clean-up once conditions allow.

How do you ensure safety on site?

Safety is our top priority. Every job begins with a thorough risk assessment. We use industry-standard personal protective equipment, certified climbing and rigging gear, and follow Safe Work Australia guidelines. Drop zones are established and managed, and we communicate with you throughout the process so you know exactly what's happening.

Are you environmentally responsible?

Absolutely. We believe in preserving trees wherever possible and only recommend removal as a last resort. All green waste is recycled into mulch or firewood — nothing goes to landfill. We're also passionate about native species and can advise on suitable replacement plantings after removal.

Do you carry out work near power lines?

Work within the vegetation safety zone around power lines is restricted to accredited service providers under the Electricity Supply Act. We can perform work outside this zone and will advise you on the correct process for any vegetation that requires energy authority involvement.
